Prayers answered

Wesley's eye exam showed he went from stage 3 back to stage 2 thank God.  The eye dr himself said his recheck could be outpatient.  The dr said if all is well tonight and in morning then he can go home tomorrow.  So far tonight he has had no issue.

The shirt doesn't lie!

Hopefully tomorrow will be pictures of him home!

Prayers for Wesley!

I will be praying hard tonight for Wesley.  I'm so worried he will need surgery and I hate for him to have to I through that.  I pray his eyes have improved and he can go home tomorrow or Tuesday.  Please God heal his eyes and keep him healthy.  Thank you for this beautiful miracle!

My finger is worse but went to quick care for antibiotics.  I will be on the mend soon.  Joe and I were paranoid about touching things there and made sure to use sanitizer often until we escaped the place.  Can't risk getting sick with me

This will be short

Wesley is great as always.... But this will be short.  I had a cat knaw on my index finger and wouldn't let go so it hurts to write this.  I gave Wesley his bottle tonight and he passed out ;)

Prayers for improvement on Monday

Wesley is just perfect... To be born at 25 weeks and be as perfect as he is, we are very blessed. I hope we continue to be blessed on Monday when they recheck his eyes.

Good news on insurance front... Wesley will keep his Medicaid as secondary insurance.  His recheck is still Monday so they have to redo his car seat test on Sunday as it's only good for 7 days.  All else is good.  Just a waiting game.

No real news. Just a waiting game.
Wesley was fussy today probably bc he knew he was supposed to be home.  Actually he was stopped up but they took care of it.

Not the day we hoped for :(

The day started out fine... Wesley and I had a nice visit at lunch.  The nurse was getting a bunch of goodies for his ride home.  I asked if all was a go and she said that's what she heard.  Then I go to work and at 3pm I get a call from nurse practitioner.  He says Wesley has to stay bc he has to have another eye exam next week.  He said they asked the eye doctor if they could do it as an outpatient and he said no they didn't want to have to readmit him.  This is very aggravating being I scheduled to be off tomorrow.  It's not an easy arrangement to close a business down.  Now I won't be able to when he does come home.  The doctor failed to read the chart this morning and see what the eye doctor found in the exam and the eye dr didn't relay to anyone yesterday that he wouldn't be able to go home.  The only one these errors effect is us.  I'm not happy.  This is not the first mistake that was made here. I told the NP if his eyes are that bad then they need to be rechecked sooner than a week from what I have read.  The nurse tonight said they talked about seeing if they could arrange that but I'm not counting on it.  I'm sure the dr only comes on Mondays and will work when convienient for him.

5# club!!

Things are going smoothly so far.  Wesley is a little better today with the bottle finishing in 20 min but usual right at 20min.  Mom sang him some songs this afternoon and Wesley hummed along with her.  Malou is pretty smitten by this little man 😊 He now weighs 5# 0.7 oz yay Wes! 

He passed his hearing test and car seat test! He has his eye exam scheduled tomorrow and a head ultrasound.  Tuesday he has labs that will be done then hopefully come home.  

He wanted to sleep through his bottle but when I held him after he was wide awake

Quick blog bc it's so late

Had a busy day with work and my shower.  My grandmother and aunt came all the way from Mississippi! Lots of people came and we are so grateful for everyone that came and the wonderful gifts for me Wesley!!

Oh Wesley could use some prayers... He has been tired all day taking too long to eat.  Please pray it's just today bc if it continues he will get another NG tube in his nose and won't be coming home.

Malou is here to visit!

I posted pics at lunch but I will post them here too.  I got some one on one time with Wes and fed him his bottle and he did great.

Then tonight my mom (Malou) came into town

She gave him a bottle and enjoyed every minute!

Guessing games

As I posted on Facebook it isn't for certain if he will go home Tuesday.  I had planned to take Wednesday off because the dr seemed like it wasn't going to be a problem.  Now I learn it might be.  They shouldn't have told me a day if that was the case they should have given me a range.  Anyway we will keep trucking.  He is still doing great and they got his little surgery site to stop bleeding.  Our visit was short bc we had to go home to get house ready for shower this weekend.  My mom comes tomorrow so I wanted it mostly done before she got here too.
