We met the dr and she was so sweet. She talked about how the hospital we wanted to move him to was full and if we would consider lsu hospital. We told her that was fine we just want him closer. After she left I started asking friends if Willis Knighton was really that full. No one seemed to think there was reason for him not to go there. I told the dr this and she got on phone right there and called wk. The nurse practitioner said she would speak with dr and call back.
Joe and I go to lunch and I took two bites and my phone rang. It was the dr saying wk was coming to get him later today! Wow that was fast.
Joe and I ran to the McDonald house to pack our things then back to hospital to wait for the ambulance. We signed the forms and off we went.
We were 5 miles from our exit and the ambulance caught up to us
I'm so glad those lights were not on. And it was so exciting to see and know my baby was in there.
Joe and I went to the house to let the dogs out then went to the hospital. We were surprised Wesley had his own room and he was not in an isolet. He was out in the open and we didn't have to gown up.
I am a little worried that they don't use donor milk and I hope the transition to what they have him on won't upset his tummy. I'm so happy he is in town. I can see him any day every day! Thank you God for this wonderful gift!
