Wednesday May 7th

Called to check on Wes today and he is breathing great! The nurse says this with such enthusiasm it really brightens my day.  She said his glucose was a little high and they are monitoring it closely to make sure he doesn't need some temporary insulin.  This worried me but she said this is normal for preemies and it isn't permanent.  She also said at 4am his abdomen looked distended so they discontinued his feeding but resumed it at 3 pm and he looked fine.  Sounds like I have a little fighter!  I am so grateful for all my friends and family sharing news about Wesley and the prayers.
